Are there any differences if we import it as scene/mesh?

And what about a multi object .dae or .fbx with undred of materials? Do i really have to set diffuse and such for every single material by hand? There isn't an assets tracker to make sure every mesh have it's texture applied?
Usually when i import a model in a 3d program it have the material and textures appliaed, i have sometimes to fix some parametrs, but it's there.

Here is what i came up across i download a 3dmodel
and i have to optimize the polygons for performance sake
modelsize=155kb
Normalmap=885kb
do i have to optimize normal map

How did you make the texture, did you paint it with a program or is it a PBR? I don't want to use textures other people made, I want to make custom textures but I can't find any tutorials for it.
