Correction - RTX 4090 MSRP is $1600, not $1500 as I state in the video. This makes it 33% more expensive than the 4080, but 36% faster (pure rasterization).
Realistically that's still a worthwhile margin to consider and shows that the 4080 should be far cheaper.

4080 seems kinda pointless to me. If your budget is that high you might as well go for the 4090, and if it's not the 70 tier cards offer wayyy better value. The 4080 will only make sense if they bring the price down to (or preferably below) £1k.

Doebt you'll see this 9 months later, but it'd be nice to see what sort of performance hit we can expect to see (if any) from running obs while gaming with various cpu/gpu combos. I'm most interested in the 7800x3d/4090 performance hit at 4K.

Someone correct me if I’m wrong because I’m trying to understand this. So the 3080 vs 4080 In reality isn’t a huge jump in fps when not using the fake frames, right? Why is the 4080 priced so outrageous if it doesn’t boost much (again without the fake frames). Is Nvidia just trying to fake it till they make it? Shady if that’s true.
