Why Palpatine FEARED Qui-Gon Jinn

Why Did Palpatine Fear Qui-Gon Jinn? Palpatine’s plan to take down the Republic and destroy the Jedi was absolutely genius. But Qui-Gon Jinn posed a massive threat to the Sith master plan, hence why Sidious sent Darth Maul to dispose of him. The Sith master plan relied on the fact that the Jedi would support the Republic unconditionally, which would ultimately lead to their downfall during the sith orchestrated Clone Wars. Thus, Qui-Gons' questioning of the Jedi's role in the Republic worried the Sith. What's more, Qui Gon was a true believer in Anakin and the chosen one prophecy. If Qui-Gon had survived his duel on Naboo, he would have been more of a father figure to Anakin than Obi-Wan was. Thus, it is likely Anakin would have vanquished the Sith far earlier than he did in our timeline.

Everything Lightsabers CAN'T Cut Through In Star Wars ⬇️

If I remember right, Plageuis also feared Qui Gon. Qui Gon saw through the lies of the Sith, and realized they were a true threat that was hiding in the shadows, even though most of the other Jedi were skeptical about their return. He followed the will of the force and was a true Jedi. I think if he survived and trained Anakin as a Jedi, he’d never have fallen to the darkness and become Vader

Hence why their battle is called "Duel of the Fates." Anakins, and the entire galaxys, Fate would be drastically different based on the winner

It's been pointed out multiple times (out of universe) that Anakin needed a father figure like Qui Gon as opposed to a brother like Obi Wan. Now I dont blame Obi Wan. He was at most in his early 20s when Anakin became his padawan, he did the best he could with what he had

It's because Qui Gon has a particular set of skills

Plus if Qui Gon was a father figure to Anakin, it would be much harder if not impossible for Palpatine to turn/control him

Qui Gon was like a father, but Obi Wan was more a brother to Anakin.

I still really hope that someday star Wars will make their own version of marvels what if series

Basically, Qui-Gon was the only one capable of independent thought.

Obi-Wan was like an older brother who was forced to take care of his younger brother after their parents died. He tried his best but he was unprepared to help Anakin through all of his trauma. Star wars is both fantasy but somehow knows how to keep a lot of problems realistic.

Qui Gon may have even taken Anakin and left the order to train him. There was already tension with the council.

Basically. When we meet Qui-Gon in Episode one he seems like this ideal Jedi Knight, but in his head he can't see himself as anymore different. He doesn't outright say the Jedi are wrong as he has too much respect for people like Yoda and the ways of the Jedi themselves. But he's questioning himself and his belief to the point that Qui-Gon is on another level of thinking. The other Jedi see themselves as protecting and serving the republic whereas Qui-Gon is all about serving and being guided by the force itself, which is what the Jedi are supposed to be doing.

Qui Gon thought for himself and that’s more dangerous than anything. Both to the Jedi and the Sith.

Qui-Gonn was literally the 1 and only obstacle in the galaxy that actually posed a threat to Sidious’s plan. He had contingencies and plan-B’s, C’s, and D’s for every possible scenario in the whole scheme, except for Qui-Gonn. Everything depended on Maul defeating him… because if Maul failed, Qui-Gonn would have trained Anakin, and fulfilled the role of the father figure he so desperately needed. Having done that, Anakin would have never given into the dark side, and Sidious would fail.
That’s why, every time I rewatch the phantom menace, I pray it’ll end differently. I know it’s useless, but a small part of me just hopes that maybe Obi-Wan will run a *little* faster and get past the laser gates and help his master defeat Maul.. or that Qui-Gonn will block Maul’s saver hilt smack and get the killing blow.

It's pretty telling and also pretty funny how palpatine's machinations on episode 1 were just killing off qui gon, then immediatelly on episode 2 it escalates to orchestrating both sides of a whole-ass war concerning the whole republic

Star wars "what if" needs to happen asap. Even if it isn't Cannon there's some really cool scenarios that could be played out.

Qui Gon would've felt the Dark Side growing by AOTC, he would've put 2 & 2 together & killed Senate boi if no other realistic option was there

Now that's a what if series I want to see from star wars if they ever produce one. A series or a episode a least expanding on Qui Gon role in the series if he survived his fight with Maul in E1. He's too much of a great underrated character to not use in more stories. Nice video too and may the force be with you too. 🌟 🎥 🎨 🎬 📹 👍
