2:18 the sticker on the back of the TV that says 60hz is NOT telling you the screen's refresh rate, it's telling you the frequency of AC power that the TV is suited to. In the US it's 120v 60hz, but in Australia for example it's 240v 50hz.

I have PC and a PS5. I never thought I would enjoy my PS5 on my OLED tv. I have a 1440p 240hz monitor but OLED is just on a different level.

I think it is all depend on what you play, if you play competitive, fps, racing, or coop game, monitor might be the best choice, but if you play a narrative, rpg, story-driven game, then a TV with wide inch, hdr is enough.

I have my PS5 hooked up to a 4K 144hz monitor on my desk and 4K 120hz TV on the wall, they’re both good the most noticeable difference is it’s 1000x more comfortable gaming on a sofa with the TV than the chair.

Saving for an LG CX was the best decision I made for my ps5 and gaming in general. 120hz, lots of customization, and a beautiful OLED picture with built in burn in protection. For slightly more than other tvs of similiar specs I think it is very worth it

2:20 120v @ 60hz refers to the AC mains supply of the USA. It has nothing to do with the refresh rate of the monitor. You'll find your 120hz monitor also says 60hz for the ~ AC rating

I definitely recommend the Aorus FV43U 43" 4k 144hz monitor if you want to have a in between option for a TV and Monitor, definitely an all around great monitor. It'd a bit pricey but it's definitely worth it

I play mostly on a monitor because of fast response time, lower input lag and I am closer to the screen, I like playing on TVs because HDR and picture quality looks better, I have the C1 Oled and is perfect for gaming on consoles or PC.

This is good info especially when things like hdmi cables and speeds can be confusing

there aren't even any games that run both at 4k and 120 fps. Almost every game with a 120hz performance mode will force you into 1080p. Everyone is getting so worked up about it but AAA games on console hardware can't even keep a stable 60 fps while playing in 4k. The hardware is impressive, but still not capable of running games at 4k 120 even if they wanted to. When it does, it does so by dynamically scaling the resolution down anyway to maintain stable framerates during graphically intensive scenes or moments in game. Even on PC with a RTX 3090, 4k 120 fps gaming is still a pipe dream unless you use tricks like DLSS and turn down your graphics settings. But by doing so, you are no longer really playing in 4k, it's just upscaled lower resolution that is pretending to be 4k.

Quite an informative video. I began connecting my game console to my dual-display PC workstation setup in my home office since the launch of the original 1, 000 series PS3. The last console that I had connected to a TV was the original PS2. The other piece of information that needs to be understood is that an HDMI signal audio separator is required, such as one from Astro Gaming if you want to use a 5.1 or 2.1 speaker setup. I use the Astro Gaming unit to get a SPDIF digital signal to my Logitech Z5500 5.1 THX system in my home office.

I was always a fan on playing on a big tv, but I recently purchased a monitor for my PS5 and I love it, especially for FPS and fighting games. Games like Spiderman and God of War would probably be more fun on a big screen, but I have to say I love playing on a monitor.

I have a Sony A90j, it has 4k 120hz, VRR and HDR. It's so awesome and works perfect with ps5.

Only one problem with using PC monitors for consoles. the standard 16:9 monitors works great, the one issue is consoles do not support ultra-wide Monitors, yet and this is the reason im still using a HDTV . because Sony does not have support for Ultra-wide monitors yet.
