When You Should Consider A Gaming Monitor Over A TV
Показать описание
When playing video games, for as long as memory can recall, we’ve played on either TVs or monitors, with handhelds often coming with TV-style screens. Consoles tend to be hooked up to televisions, while PCs almost always are connected to monitors. However, either technology works with both devices.
Many think you need a gaming PC, or even a PC at all, to take advantage of the many, often gamer-specific features built into monitors, like high refresh rates and fast response times. This isn’t the case; in fact, many of the benefits of monitors can apply to consoles, if you simply choose to hook your console up to a monitor instead of a television.
There are a few sacrifices, if you’re starting from a really high-end, expensive TV, going to a monitor from a TV, but there are not just many benefits but you can often find a better value in a monitor for gaming than you can with an equivalently priced TV.
Depending on your configuration and how you like to game personally, a monitor might not work for every setup. But if you’re serious about getting games to play their best and feel as responsive and accurate as they possibly can, even when gaming on a console, there is no better investment than in a monitor over a traditional television. This is much more the case now than ever before, with the latest generation consoles supporting framerates up to 120FPS.
