How to write an expression for cos(arcsin(x))

Hmm, I did it with your triangle, rewriting arcsin(x) as arccos(sqrt(1-x^2)), so the original function is sqrt(1-x^2). The derivative of that of course is (1/(2*sqrt(1-x^2)))*(-2x) = -x/sqrt(1-x^2).

This is great, my teacher showed us the derivatives of the inverses but never show us how we were supposed to actually use them.

but im still confused on how to use them if you have a problem like find the derivative of 3arccos(x/2)

Is it same d/dx (cos(sin^-1(x))) with d/dx (cos(sinh^-1(x)))???
