Taking a knee: two years on, where does the NFL stand?

On August 26, it will be exactly two years since former San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick divided the United States when he took a knee during the national anthem.  As the NFL preseason gets underway, players, owners and fans still remain unclear on where the league officially stands on the issue, with commissioner Roger Goodell announcing in July that 'no new rules relating to the anthem will be issued or enforced for the next several weeks'.  That decision has stoked further fury on both sides of the divisive debate, from Cowboys owner Jerry Jones to NBA legend Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and US president Donald Trump.

Has nothing to do with kneeling and everything to do with what their kneeling about. How can we suppress people and so many just agree

The military fought for anyones right to kneel. So if you go against anyone kneeling then you are the ones going against the military. Cause they have fought and died for our rights to stand or sit. So dont pick and choose which parts of this to bash and twist.
