I was not able to walk... Due to knees pain... Total knee replacement done... First right knee.... After one year the left knee.... Yes... First few days... It will be like hell... Then slowly recovered... Now I'm able to walk...back to my regular routine...No dependance on others... Thanks to my family who stood by me... And I'm really grateful to the orthopedic surgeon... The hospital staff... For the efficient... Experienced procedure....
From Bangalore... INDIA...😌😌

It’s interesting that some surgeons use a tonic kid and some TXA to control bleeding. I’ve heard so many unpleasant stories about bruising and severe pain at the tourniquet site. I was glad mine didn’t and apparently no one in his practice does. I would imagine surgeons have very passionate opinions, both pro and con.

I had outpatient surgery. I do have to say that it felt like I still had that tourniquet on for 6 month post op.
Two years out with the help of deadlifts and squats, I am hiking again.

Wife got this done 7 days ago and they did not do the nerve block. Now she's in a rehab facility. Tons of pain.

I had both done. One at a time 6 months between. 3 day hospital stay. First day was the worst. They had me up walking hours after the surgery.

I had total ( left knee) replacement in 2006 . Was in hospital for a few days so the day after my surgery the physical therapist had me WALK . It was SO UNCOMFORTABLE but I had to do it! Physical therapy is KEY to recovery!

My late husband had a bilateral knee replacement in 2007. He said he would never had gone back to get the other one done, if the surgeon had decided to only do them one at a time. I remember the surgeon told my husband “ that he did not have a good leg to stand on, and he was going to do the bilateral surgery “
