Had mine Feb 1st. I thought no way surgery could hurt worse than my bone on bone pain. Let me tell you this surgery is sooo painful! People tell me its worth it. Second knee is in May. But its to the daily improvements that keep me going. Today I walked a few steps without my cane. Whoo hoo!

Had TKR 5 days ago. First 2 days were amazing! Full range of motion and could get my knee “flat” while laying down doing the ankle pumps!
3rd Day 🥴😫😳 The nerve blockers said 👋👋 Bye Bye and I could hardly walk and or bend my knee! The pain hit 😖 I forced myself to keep moving. Walking, ankle pumps, glutes/knee exercises, small squats, etc. I didn’t want to take the oxy but that pain was too much! Relief from taking the oxy and Tylenol 500 -2- 1000 every 8 hours! God bless you all as you recover and heal quickly! 💖🙏💖

I'm having a total knee replacement 04/23/2025. My nerves are on edge, about all the pain I've heard about. Please pray for me, thank you

I had mine 11/7. Mine was just like that the first 2 days and then it’s a fight every day to increase motion range.

I was doing this and more. But 4 days later when my nerve blocker wore off it was a totally different story. That nerve blocker had me thinking I could do cart wheels. Don't be fooled by this. It's not the whole store. 9 days later my leg looks like someone beat me with a baseball bat and I can't move my leg 2 inches off the floor without help.😢

I had my first knee replacement surgery in September and the 2nd one done at the end this month. It went really well. You will be a little for awhile after surgery but that’s to be expected

I had TKR two weeks ago. I was walking and doing stairs 3 hours afterward surgery. I was off the pain killers after 2 days (Oxy). After two weeks I'm walking normal without a cane or anything and started driving. I have 120 degrees of bend.

I had my right tkr on 3/5. I had 90% function the day after surgery and 100% a week after. I believe it was due to the fact that I had walked 2.8 million steps the year before. I didn't realize I was ruining my knees, just thought it was old age until it hurt so bad and I had MRIs done. But after 3 days and the block wore off it was deathly painful. Oxy didn't work as I was taking 2 every 4 hours and tylenol. Thought I was gonna die from pain but I could walk without walker or cane. After 15 days of nonstop pain and swelling it was night and day. And the bruising was terrifying. My other knee surgery is May 21st. But now I know what to expect and that there IS an end to the constant pain. I compared it to being in full on labor for 15 days straight. First 3 days are a cinch, until the block wears off.

I had my TKR two weeks ago The first week was awful. My right thigh looks like a tree trunk and yes it was painful. My second week is going better . Less pain and taking a few steps in the house on my own. What is driving me crazy is my small fiber neuropathy. My feet are always numb and I feel like I'm walking on rocks.
Oh well my knee will be fine eventually but this will drive me nuts.We all have something to deal with. I just wish there was something to help it. If anyone can help me with what to do or what kind of Dr to see plz lmk. Ty.
The knee is a long process but in the end or before I'm sure it will be fine .
Hang in there every one.. Wishing everyone a speedy recovery.❤❤❤❤

I had my second TKR 6 weeks ago and it was NOT like the surgery for my first knee, which hardly hurt. This time, it was more painful. The worst pain I have is just from riding in the car to my appointments and sleeping in bed, not from the incision but from the SIDE of my leg/knee. Have to take ice packs to ride in the car.
