Or you’ve read some review type articles on the internet or in forums. I’ve been there. What I want to share with you is that I wouldn’t be alive today if it weren’t for antidepressant medications.

That doesn’t mean antidepressants are perfect. Especially if you’re exploring or starting antidepressant medication, I have some important things I want to share with you. Watch this video.

I agree that antidepressants do help a lot but they not for everyone. I recall I was put on prozac back in 1992 or 1993 at age 13. This was a miracle drug for me at the time. I wasn’t depress anymore but do recall being a little more hyper then before. As I got older I would get a tolerance to these medications. They wouldn’t work as well and I’ll have to change antidepressants often. I notice a lot of sucidel thoughts later on them. While it bother me somewhat I managed to just stay active to avoid those thoughts. At age 35 I got off them as they just weren’t working at all, I was put on a mood stabilizer in a hospital, the thoughts that troubled me for years were gone and my will to live and enjoy life is stronger then ever. I believe my body doesn’t make enough GABA versus serotonin which antidepressants restore.

Anti depressants are great as long as you're not bipolar 😁😁😁 my doctor didn't know wether I was or not, since my symptoms sounded like long term dresses ion, yet my biological mother has bipolar . So he tried me out on a months supply of lexapro and boy was he wrong . Almost immediately I noticed the change . I felt a literal "burst " of happiness. I couldn't stop moving, I didn't sleep more than 3 hours in 24 hour period, with a few cat naps here and there . It made me moody, and it was quickly determined that I needed mood stabilizers . I did notice that I ate a lot less when I was on anti depressants . I lost 5 pounds and couldn't eat more than a few snacks a day because I literally didn't feel hungry

The greatest problem with first time depression meds users is that they stop the meds to early. The most recent feeling is that you need to take it for at least a year.

Well, I just recently started taking anti depressants and like I don't know. It's like I feel the same emotions but I can't cry.... which is kind of annoying since I am used to just bursting into tears and now I feel like doing so but I can't.
