The emotional numbness, anhedonia and avolition can also last after you're off. Sometimes months, sometimes years, and sometimes you can only partially improve...

Not just antidepressants; ANTIPSYCHOTICS (especially Thorazine which I was on as a 10 Y.O. in 1977) carries the same adverse effects as antidepressants (specifically the sexual dysfunction & suicidal ideations).

Please keep making these to get their toxic effects known😢

If only more doctors were educated about how dangerous they can be. Here in Australia people only think they benefit the patient and do no harm. 🙁

I really thought if you get manic by an antidepressant, you have bipolar disorder (and that's why if there is suspected bipolar disorder, doctors give a mood stabiliser along with the antidepressant).

Yup! True. My son had ongoing, situational anxiety and some transient depression. Dr's. Gave him Paxil. He symptoms became more severe with the first dose. I told him. No more. He worked through this and is better at managing stress now 20 years later even, having gone through this learning coping mechanism.

Is it true that it is fairly uncommon that people become agitated when they are being put on these drugs?

yeah if you are uneasy due to anti-psychotics and other drugs, your frustration will erupt more, you will be having acidity, etc. frustration

Does consistently having paradoxical reactions to antidepressants mean i could have bipolar disorder instead of unipolar depression?

How about akathisia? Is that less common as a side effect than what's mentioned in the video? (it happened to me, so wondering)

Got off all my psych meds after nearly 2 decades. Started ketamine infusions and it's been life-changing.

so mania can be a ssri induced side effect and not mean you are bipolar? i read somewhere that if you had that YOU ARE BIPOLAR. I beg to differ, prozac made me manic while zoloft did not, my doc ruled out bipolar and now zoloft works great

After long time use I had a paradoxial reaction with SI. Then Dr’s tapered me off too fast. Brutal WD from start and now severe, neurological injury. Everyone is different. But there are many risks.

I have been given many antidepressants for migraines and I would go Into full blown rages

I took Lexapro once for about a month, felt like I was gonna need a catheter to be able to urinate, scares me. It's been years since, still hasn't cleared up all the way I think cuz if I eat a lot of bready food of poor quality symptoms seem to come back. I was like 23 at the time or 24 maybe, not sure exactly what age, but I'm 29 now.

Psychiatric Drugs kill more people than help people in the long run. Please seek another opinion from another GP to see if the dosage and the psychiatric drug you are receiving is helping. Psychiatric drugs are very dangerous if your household has not supported systems or care support people to monitor what drugs are supposed to be taking or not???
