What's it like to race an AMA National? MXA's Assistant Editor/test rider, Josh Mosiman, has raced the last three weekends in a row at the first three races of the 2023 Pro Motocross series, on a different bike each weekend. In this video, follow Josh through the highs and lows of racing at Thunder Valley in Lakewood, Colorado, which includes a near-crash experience when he just misses landing on Jake Runkles, a rider who went down on the step-up jump.

Every week, our This Week in MXA video series highlights what is going on the the motocross industry, and what the MXA wrecking crew is up to.

I don't know how you can race 3 totally different bikes on different tracks. What a talent. Great job! We appreciate you taking us along for the ride. That track looks like fun to ride.

Must have been a dream ride with stock suspension, bet all the factory riders wished they had it‼️? Says Bubba Stewart lol 😂😂👀

Keep it up Josh. Great stuff as always.
T. Valley ain't no joke. It ruts up and gives you all the rut practice you can handle.
Did the changes to the CRF help?

As a guy rediscovering dirt bikes in my 30s after doing some trail riding as a young teen, I cant even work up the confidence to do much more than bunny hop little jumps nevermind some of these monster tabletops. Even 32 out of 40 riders in National is a wild achievement man you can rest easy knowing you are still in the upper echelon of racers in the US! Props to ya, enjoy it while you can still race itll all be behind you way too soon

I landed on a guy one time off of a blind jump 30 some years ago and I still get a weird feeling on blind jumps!

Next Year if you do the Nationals do them on Two Strokes!

Great job Josh! Having the courage to even attempt this so you’re fans can enjoy & appreciate how these bikes perform with a pro racer that can even qualify for a national is quite the commitment, trusting GOD to safely get you through it shows your faith quite well!
GOD BLESS YOU ❤

Good stuff and enjoy the videos more than anything else you guys do. I know the feelings you are having. Buddy shattered both ankles and doesn’t walk the same nor will he ever. At Vet World’s in 21’ the guy parked next to me got airlifted and died on practice day. Then this year I broke ribs, tore a rotator cuff and just generally hurt myself bad. I’d raced on and off for over 40 years now and have come out pretty unscathed, but occasionally, stuff will happen that makes you question it all. I took a lot of time off and finally went for an easy trail ride. Needless to say it looks like I’m going to keep riding. It’s the sport you just can’t erase from the blood.

What do you suppose will happen to your confidence if you choose one bike and stick to it?
