Watching you bring the car back to it's pre-flood condition would make a great series. If you can get it for an acceptable price and you have the space to keep it while taking your time working on it, it would be a no-brainer for me. You have the knowledge and access to the tools needed so why not? It won't be many years until cars like this are non-existent. It would make a great gift to one of your kids years down the road.

A pro fully repairing a flood car would be a great series. I know you would go to the extreme to get this fixed. Keep the "normal car" videos going too!

How that rim didn't get completely mauled is a miracle...

There is still a clip-on style weight on the wheel. It would not have caused 5 oz of balance issue, but it definitely affects it some. You can see it at the top of the wheel at 13:10.

You should totally get this. Rarity, enjoyment, and wife unit's reaction are totally worth it. The parts actually might start working if they dry out enough if they aren't corroded on the inside. Water damage does weird things. If you ever get electronics wet, disconnect the battery asap (if you can) and dip in 99% alcohol to flush out water, and air dry for a few days. You can name it Doo-de-Doo because it's obnoxious and loud like the phone.

As soon as you said it was totaled I thought you might buy it. You’re in a unique position to go over it before it goes up for sale.

I know what you mean Ray, that Dodge sounds awesome! It makes a man feel good just to hear that sort of thing, and it’s going to be even better to be the one making it do it.

BTW Ray... complete seats for chargers can be found for around 500 bucks, used of course.

Oh wow, I was really looking forward to watching you bring her back to life. I hope you do buy it, and take us along on your journey to restore her.

Don’t talk about it. Be about it! Do it!!!! I got my dads Jeep and you’re videos actually gave me the confidence to do stuff myself. Replaced rotator/brakes and abs module myself. Oh an a wheel speed sensor. Thank you!

I expect to see a bunch of new used vehicles up here in illinois that may or may not have been subjected to Ian’s wrath

I'm from South Texas and I'm here in Orlando Florida helping the hurricane clean up and flood damage. There is a lot of damage

Check the VIN to make sure it is what you think it is. It might not be a scatpack. Badges are easily obtained just like the chevy SS. You have to check every one.

Always good to have a follow up. However I am amazed the customer didn't ask for the tire to be repaired🙄

Video rebuild diary, and a great source of YouTube material. So many good reasons to pick up a Dodge project. Great car for getting the groceries back faster.

You are a very good mechanic...and deserve all the money possible with YouTube...

salt or fresh water would be the deal breaker for me. If it's storm surge salt water, that car is going to continue to deteriorate over time unless you get in there and clean the salt from everything. but you know this.

That is a pretty car Ray. If anyone can fix it it's you. Good luck. As for the Escalade. That one new tire was better than the other 3. He should have at least swapped 2. Have a great day Ray

Ray, buy the Dodge for us YouTube watchers, I predict hours of fun and circuit diagrams. If you do I promise to watch the Ads without skipping.
