Ive been watching for a short time, and I had already made tons of progress with BudDee ( He was in an abusive situation, so I bought him from his owner) he is WAY happier now. Yesterday he landed on me, and gave me sweet kisses. He also got tangled on a tent ( a bird tent for another bird) and let me hold him on his back to untangle his foot! He didnt bite! Nor did he squirm! It has taken me two plus years, to earn his trust in humans. He lived in the abusive home for two years. Hes such a wèe treasure, and so very smart.I have two other rescues, so he sees me interact with them as well.I think that has helped him trust me faster. All his feathers have grown in, hes gained weight( which he needed, she only changed his food and water bowl, once a week) and last year? He started singing to me .( I dont have a great singing voice, but I would sing to him a bedtime song, to let him know, to go to his cage.) He is now a happy little boy. Your videos helped with that. I was doubting about the bath because my birds never take baths and as SOON as I put out a little bath tub for both of my birds, and stirring my finger around he wouldn't stop kissing me and hugging my finger! This is the best channel ever! Thanks for making this video!

I lost my budgie last week. She passed away. We had her around 8 years. This video is bittersweet to watch, the video is accurate and we did a lot of what’s shown. I miss Penny. 😞

Thanks for the tip on playing with my budgies water bowl, we bought him a big one and he never uses it, within 1 minute of splashing his water he jumped in 4 times. That definitely works a treat, I was amazed!!!

Hahah, I always splash the water around a bit with my bird when she's having a bath. I just started doing it because she loves wrestling with my hand and apparently when water is involved that makes the game a hundred times better. She can sometimes get a bit overexcited and forgets to be gentle, she especially loves getting the web between my fingers and twisting it.

I recently got a bird named Ozzy, I take him out everyday and let him fly around my room, one time I left him out side his cage when I went to do stuff, when I came back he was waiting for me at the doorway, then he got really excited and let me play with him, birds are the best!

I love taking my birds for walks with me on nature trails in the spring and fall (summer gets super hot here and winter is freezing) and they love it! I like putting them on branches and watching or taking pictures, it makes me happy seeing them enjoy nature :)

My budgie likes to perch on top of the tv and hang upside down to watch it. I put out a perch near the tv but the tv is his favourite perch. He’s happy and that’s all that matters. I love my little feather friend. And I always make time to talk to him, to play peekaboo and to sing the good morning song to him. And he gets his flying time too.
