1. Don't send the same greetings every day. It is recommended you skip "hello" and jump into number two so that way your conversation has purpose.
2. Switch between asking questions and telling stories. Open ended questions give more freedom. However, though he didn't say this, make sure they actually lead somewhere and aren't totally random or you could seem weird.
3. Make sure to tease and flirt with them. If they seem defensive about any teasing, cease immediately. Also don't use the same one word compliments, attach them to situations you had with them to know you mean it.
4. Don't stay in texting limbo forever. Meet them in person. (though COVID-19 makes that real easy right now. I'd say have a call date.)
5. Don't be overbearing, give them time to respond. People are busy and if you're placing all your energy into another person constantly it usually indicates you need to work on yourself.
