People are always asking us what the difference is between SSDI (Social Security Disability Insurance) and SSI (Supplemental Security Income) and how they can help people who have become disabled and cannot work.

In this video, we explain the differences between the two programs, how people can qualify for them, and steps they can take to learn more.

At Citizens Disability, we help people apply for and win their SSDI benefits. If you'd like to see if you qualify, give us a call - we're here 24/7 at 1-800-317-6088.

Worked 40 yrs. and had to stop due to medical condition. I just got my ssdi a few months ago. It's a blessing, it was tough waiting for 2years, but things are better now financially. I don't see this money as welfare, I put this money away for those 40 years and now I'm using it that I need it.

social security benefits for seniors are an essential safety net for many, but it's also crucial to plan ahead and invest wisely for your retirement. Diversifying your investments across can help build wealth over time. It's never too early to start saving and investing for a comfortable retirement. I’m 63 and my husband 65 we are both retired with over $3 million in net worth and no debts. Currently living smart and frugal with our money. Saving and investing lifestyle made it possible for us this early even till now we earn monthly through passive income. ....

Everyone's situation is different, but I just used the common sense approach. I have no contract w God that says I will be healthy and alive at 66 and 10 months, so I took it at 62. Smartest move I made in a while. ❤

He forgot to mention that you can also draw Social Security benefits as a disabled adult child. I draw mine on my father's record and also got medicare and medicaid.

Great information. SSA can be very confusing. Some elderly and others that have a right to benefits are out there lost in all of this being penalized for not knowing the basics. Some don’t have the resources they need to move forward.
Thank you very much for sharing your knowledge.🙏🏿💕🙏🏿🙌🏾

Learned that the SSA takes a small percentage of earned income that is held as health insurance for the possibility of becoming I'll, which is when this insurance goes into affect.

I’ve paid in Social Security for 37 years. I was forced to retire from my county job, because they were no longer willing to accommodate my physical limitations that They caused. I’ve bee unable to find work outside in the mainstream work-world, because I’m now considered a liability to hire. It to almost 2 years, but I’ve been denied ssdi. I appealed. Sent in copies of my MRIs, showing my disabilities, and was still denied. The system is rigged!

have been on SSDI for 8 or 10 years and during the wait went back to work but medically could not handle it so job let me go. was the same job that I worked for 6 years straight, loved that job at Grand Canyon north.

You need to also talk about SSDI for disabled children from their parent. It's a very critical piece.
