Let's get relaxed with this full body yin yoga stretch, a full 50 mins of deep relaxation and tension release. This is a meditative class - all levels welcome!
About this Yin Yoga Class
Yin yoga is a wonderful practice to shift into your parasympathetic nervous system, or your "rest and digest" mode. This 50 min yin yoga class offers deep relaxation for tension relief and flexibility by holding each yin yoga pose for 2-3 minutes - allowing the mind to settle and the body to open.
In the first half of this yin yoga class, we'll focus on the upper body - neck, shoulders, chest, spine - and in the back half of class, we'll focus on the lower body.
During our first yin yoga pose, I'll share about the anatomy of yin yoga and the role of fascia as well as how to approach each yin yoga pose - I have a simple, 3-step method that allows the nervous system to unwind. :)
We'll also include yang movements to balance out our longer yin holds. So you'll get a beautiful blend of yin and yang with this 50 min yoga class.
This yin yoga class is great for morning awakening or an evening relaxation class, and since this is a gentle yin yoga class, it's suitable for both beginner yogis and those deepening their yoga practice.
I hope this class not only invites you into more flexibility but also allows your mind and nervous system to deeply settle.
