Need a bit of peace and quiet and TLC? This 50 min full body yin yoga practice should do the trick.

Hi everyone, thank you so much for joining me in this (nearly) hour long yin yoga practice for self-care, rest and relaxation. This is a full body flexibility class suitable for all levels. I recommend having two blocks nearby or a bolster.

If you've been feeling depleted, stressed, burnt out or overwhelmed, this is a lovely practice to help you soothe your nervous system and get back to yourself. I don't talk very much when I teach yin yoga because I want you to take the opportunity to go inward and listen to your body's inherent wisdom. Less is always more in yin yoga.

I'll take you through poses like supported fish, supported bridge/butterfly, half butterfly, straddle, pigeon pose, child's pose and savasana.

What is Yin Yoga? Yin yoga is often called the Yoga of the joints because unlike other styles of yoga, the emphasis is not on the muscles but on the deep connective tissue. Connective tissue is made up of fascia, ligaments and tendons which surround and form your joints. Yin yoga improves the range of motion in your joints and also strengthens them. The results and benefits are more flexibility and greater range of motion and also more stability within your joints.

There are 3 principles of Yin Yoga.
1. Find your edge
2. Be still
3. Hold the pose

I'm a fairly new yoga teacher and nobody showed up to this mornings regularly scheduled class so instead of feeling disheartened, I'm taking the hour and the studio to myself for this practice. Thank you Kassandra 🙏🏼

Hi Kassandra, just wanted to let you know how much I am enjoying the Yin YOGA classes. I tried other types of yoga but Yin is the style for me. I am 65 years old and I do one of your Yin yoga classes almost every day and I just love the feeling I get from it. Your soothing voice and relaxing music is so nice. Thank you for these classes. This class was EXACTLY what I needed today. My body has been through a lot lately and I've been feeling incredibly drained and depleted. This was such a nourishing and comforting little "me time" break. I incorporated my bolster for most of the poses and it felt incredibly nourishing to my nervous system. This is going to be a go-to class moving forward.

Thank you Kasandra for this lovely Yin class. I've been doing your classes daily for a long time and love them all. The last 3 weeks I haven't been able to do any yoga due to being diagnosed with osteoarthritis in my neck and spine. This is the 1st class I have done and I feel great for it.Thank you x

I don’t usually like Yin yoga but with the help of a bolster, 2 blocks and a thin cushion I managed to get comfortable in most of the poses & was surprised how quickly it went. I shall definitely not shy away from Yin again! Thank you Kassandra for this calming relaxing class. 🙏 Namaste

This class was an absolute bliss! My body and mind feel super relaxed and zen, which is a wonderful feeling ☺. Loved staying for a longer amount of time in these poses. The side bends and hip openers felt amazing (the last one especially for my L-hip as it was holding lots of tension). Thank you, Kassandra. Have a magical new week ✨💖
