Y'all listen to this man!
I'm 6'3 250 started stacking the 45 and 25lb bumper plates in increments to the point I got to 5 plates. Can now do 1 complete pistol per side. My main hang up is getting my bodyweight stacked over my left leg properly so right leg is easier to do but I can do it from both sides. Shout out Squat university

The pistol squat is something I have been struggling to do correctly. I think I need to work on my hip flexibility. Great video, should help me get there

Your loosening of the ankle series is completely helpful here. I've always found the cue of pushing your heel forward hard has worked for me.
