"Is it a day? It's a good day to read." Yes to this! 💯

I love your "pile of possibilities" framing! I'm totally guilty of feeling like I've accomplished something just because I've made a plan to do the thing, which then makes me feel like I don't need to actually do the thing.🤣🤣

Yay for reading romance when things get tough!! Reading a really good romance just makes everything better.

I LOVE the term "pile of possibilities." That's a much better description for it than TBR. I don't like to have a firm list because I'll usually find that after reading a book I may be in the mood for something completely different than I thought I would be before I read it.

What an interesting tag! I am always happy to come across other readers who cry easily!

I think we are all "mood readers". Even when I dragged myself to a despicable textbook in school, I did it because I was in the mood to pass the class! This was such a fun video to watch. Thanks, Kazen.

The first time I heard you use the phrase “pile of possibilities” it was revolutionary for me. It freed me from the TBR concept.

Really enjoyed your answers. I don't read horror or a new book before bed either. Every day is a good day to read. This is a really great tag. 😊💙

Wow most of my answers would be so similar!!
"when things get tough, the tough read romance" yessss so true!!
I agree with you about your opinions 'congealing' over time, that made perfect sense to me. 😁
Moods of books can rub off on me, but usually I can shake that pretty easily.

Definitely a mood reader and I love that rare glow you get from an amazing book where I don't read anything else that day so I can just soak in it.

Really wondering what part of Boyfriend Material made you laugh. There were a few for me but the your father. 😆

Book hangovers are simultaneously the best and the worst! Sush and I have been having a few of them recently from just some really outstanding books (Realm of Ash, The Goblin Emperor, etc), and it's just so hard to pick up something new after such a deep engagement with a book. And thanks for the tag! I'm going to skip this one (I'm still in a bit of a reading/video making slump), but I appreciate the love as always! 🥰

Great tag! I am a mood reader but can make myself read a book for a read along or prize reading. But I much prefer to read by whim.

Thanks for tagging me! I will do it (when I'm in the mood...)
The Only Plane in the Sky sounds good, but wow, that would probably be gut-wrenching. Almost 20 years later and it's still hard to hear the stories of 9/11.

I'm a mood reader too, plus the book can affect my mood. Though a sad novel can be cathartic and leave me feeling better. But a sad non-fiction is painful. Over this past year I've reached for light fiction or re-reads for their soothing effect.

It hadn’t even occurred to me that there are people who read and a book’s mood doesn’t rub off on them! 😂 though with me it definitely happens to varying degrees and sometimes it’s a pretty vague feeling - books with a more positive ending leave me feeling a little lighter, books with a depressing ending make me feel down so I immediately pick up something more feel-good to counteract that, etc.
And LOL I thought the thumbnail worked! Definitely looks intentional 😄

I liked this tag and your answers because it makes us know about more about you. Since you are honest as always ;)
I also do not need special atmosphere to read as long as it is not overly noisy and chaotic around me.

I don’t consider myself a mood reader, in fact I said on Shawn’s channel that I had never heard that term before book tube. I am an emotional reader which I think is different. Books can make me sad and can make me happy depending on the book, but I don’t usually let my mood affect what I choose. The exception is when I am depressed and need to escape. Then I need my mysteries. I get my last vaccine tomorrow, so if I feel up to it, I’ll pick up a mystery. I’m not depressed about it, but I want to distract myself from any symptoms. I believe my main reason for reading is distraction. And learning. Much Aloha

I am a mood reader too. I do a loose TBR also. Every once in awhile a book will effect me. The only book I really cried while reading was The Dog Stars by Peter Heller. There is a scene in there I will never forget. Non fiction is both educational but also calming. It is by far my favorite genre! I find it is harder to find a book that tickles my funny bone! I enjoy PG Wodehouse books for fun humorous writing! I just finished reading two heavy nonfiction books so I am going to switch to fiction for a pallet cleanser. I like Agatha Christie and Rex Stout detective books for that reason. I need quiet to read most of the time. However I read in all situations. I want to be buried with a book just in case I have time to read! I leap to leap from book but I do need to change genre frequently. I really enjoyed your answers!
