Hey! Here's the Moody Book Tag. I was tagged by Shawn the Book Maniac.
The original was created by: Slanted Spines.

Questions:
1. Do you consider yourself a mood reader?
2. Do you set TBR lists and do you stick to them?
3. Do books affect you emotionally? Does the mood of a book rub off on you?
4. When you’re feeling sad, what do you read? (Or do you not read when sad?)
5. Most often, do you use reading to escape, to learn, or to critically reflect?
6. What is a book that made you laugh out loud?
7. What is a book that has made you cry? Or, if you don’t cry, one that really moved you?
8. What is a book that you didn’t even know how you felt about?
9. Are you more likely to read on a sunny day or a cloudy day?
10. Do you usually “set the mood” when you read? Music, lights, smells, etc?
11. Can you leap from book to book or do you need buffer time between them?

Sunny day=on front porch with a book. Rainy day=in my comfy chair with a book.

First of all, you look incredibly gorgeous in your black glasses (and your brown ones too🙃). 😎🤓
Secondly, I enjoyed your answers. I can't wait to start Greenwood. I ordered it based on your suggestion and I just received it today. YAY! 📖
Lastly, I also loooove shopping my shelves.📚

You look incredibly gorgeous in all spectacles! 😍

Sedaris is one of my “buffers”. I often go back to a handful of his essays whenever I’m not in the right head space to pick up another book due to either a reading slump, or I just finished a book I need to take a thought break.

You look gorgeous no matter which glasses you wear! I love this tag. I do the standing in front of my shelves too. I switch genres usually after each book. I am cherry picking the book tube prize nonfiction books right now. I am trying to read the “big books”. I like to read PG Wodehouse for funny comfort books! I am reading the Father Brown short stories right now as palette cleanser. The one book that made me cry at one point was The Dog Star by Peter Heller. He is considered a writers writer! So awesome. Hamnet was great. It was my number one favorite fiction book for last year. I wasn’t sure at first how I felt about Lincoln in the Bardo. I read it three times before I felt i”got” it. It is very challenging. I just loved it. I am not a memoir person. They frequently seem self indulgent. When I die I am going to ask to be buried with a book just in case i have time to read! You better bet I will figure out ahead of time what book it will be! Great video. I enjoyed hearing all your thoughts!

I'm so enjoying this tag! I don't think I'm really a mood reader, I'm pretty happy reading whatever comes in for me from the library. Come to think of it, maybe that's why the library works so well for me. Maybe it wouldn't work so well for a real mood reader...?🤔Btw, you probably hear this all the time, but you look incredibly gorgeous in those glasses!😁

I got overwhelmed with March mystery madness and overdid it reading so many books that I almost didn’t enjoy some of them. Since mystery is a favorite genre for me that wasn’t good and I’m changing my habit of extreme behavior. I don’t know if that’s possible at my age.
I had one of the comment about I am I am I am. I did not read the book but I do write Memoir. Sometimes stuff happens in your life That looking back on seems preventable or makes you look and seem unlikable. But if it’s true and well written I keep it in my own work and I enjoy reading about making mistakes, Even terrible ones and other people’s memoirs. I do think your glasses are exquisitely beautiful by the way. Aloha

Hey Kim, just an FYI in case you want to push it more: the Kindle version of GREENWOOD, as of today (though for how long, who knows) is just $1.99!

Shameless fishing for compliments. You know you're gorgeous whatever the glasses. You remind me I must get to Chernobyl Prayer. I feel a bit shallow now as my emotional response to books is much less intense, even when I am actually in middle of reading them. But I know what you mean about self care being misused as an excuse for bad decisions sometimes.
David Sedaris has done a lot of radio work over here and I have seen him talk/read live. Brilliantly funny.

Love your videos Kim. Because of the current interest in Hemingway because of the PBS series on him. Have you read Hemingway and if so what do you recommend?? Just could never get into him.
