I did the Moody Reader Book Tag. I was tagged to do this by Steff from Coffee Over Apples. It was really fun and dealt with mood reading questions. Let me know what your answers would be in the comments below.

Steff's Video:

Questions:
1) Do you consider yourself a mood reader?
2) Do you set TBRs and do you stick to them?
3) Do books affect you emotionally?
4) When you're feeling sad, do you like to read sad, happy or neutral books?
5) Most often, do you use reading to escape, learn or critically reflect?
6) What is a book that made you laugh out loud?
7) What is a book that made you cry? If you don't cry, one that moved you?
8) What is a book you didn't even know how you felt about after?
9) Are you more likely to read on a sunny or cloudy day?
10) Do you usually “set the mood” when you read? Music, lights, smells, etc?
11) Can you leap from book to book or do you need buffer time between?

Great job sticking to your tbr! Have never read a fault in our stars but am kind of saving it for a day when I am ready to break out the tissues 🤧

Books rarely make me feel sad, but maybe that's because I don't read a lot of sad books...hmmm. I think it makes sense that you'd gravitate toward that content if that's your current mood. It can help to see those feelings represented by characters going through the same thing.
Also, side note - your voice sounded so calm and soothing in this video. If you ever start a podcast, you'll have such a great voice for it!

I feel the sad books when I’m sad!! I also read sad books like 98% of the time lol, but I really feel like it’s almost a way of staving off loneliness if you’re going through it, but reading about someone who is also going through it.

Yooo Erik! I have a question for you. What would you recommend for me? Free to answer for anyone else as well, of course.

I’m a history, philosophy, political science and English lover. I love simple joys such as the goosebumps series but sci fi, fantasy, dystopian, action, adventure and horror are also deeply appreciated. So, basically, all types of books except autobiographies and romance. I’m also a romance and sex repulsed aroace though I did enjoy fault in our stars. It felt real.

I adore literature, poems and riddles and collect vocabulary like people collect mangas. I’m an Indian teenager btw. I’m 15 and in grade 10.

I just can’t seem to watch any other channel. Yours just clicks with me.

This is a fun tag to do. 👍
I rely mostly on my TBR jar and BLouRay Book Club regarding the books that I read. 📖

Good tag!
It sounds like you are really good at sticking to your TBR. I am trying out TBR's at the moment and it isn't easy 😂 The fault in our stars is such an emotional read

MOODY BOOK TAG!! I am always moody so let’s see!! I am one of the moodiest of mood readers. I know what you mean! Good job at doing those goals. Please allow yourself ! Reading should be fun and reading a break book to make you happy is ok! Yeah you definitely make TBRs. I don’t. Ya gurl cant organize. Oooo not very emotional, I guessed. I am the most emotional reader in the freaking world and it can freak family out. They are used to it now but before they got confused when I burst out crying, squealed of joy, laughed my head off or smiled like the Cheshire Cat when I am not always this expressive. Books, friends, and things I love just bring it out where normal things don’t. Good grades? I am small smiling. getting the plot of a book or writing long video reactions, JOKER I AM COMG FOR YOUR BRAND! But yeah VERY EMOTIONAL READER! Ohhhh you just experience the emotion. I don’t read sad books when sad. Or almost ever really. I just want something to make me happy cause like, I appreciate sad scenes but the happier books make, the greater the time mostly. So I try to do mainly happy but add meaning too. I know if I read too sad, that is what I focus on. I know myself and my brain hyper fixates on negativity. I don’t know why that is, but reading positive combats it! I don’t want to know where my mind will go with a lot of sadness. Props to you for making the fullest of experiences. I can think of others who do too! Oh yeah. I wish the best for your family. STEELHEART!! Funny and random is my I am too expressive to NOT laugh out loud. That’s why I read as close to alone as possible or with CLOSE friends cause I look weird otherwise. But Nico’s quote in the Last Olympian made me cackle for a solid minute cause I related too hard and my friends also related. Now it’s a inside joke. A book that made me cry? Ahem, is 20+ choices an option? But a fault in our stars. It’s popular but I never read it. OOP- the teen angst! Lol same ngl. Getting emotional at other points. Oh…. That sounds heartbreaking but beautiful. But one for me was probably The house of Hades because Bob and Damasen’s sacrifice KILLED me! That or the burning maze for Jason. Oh those blog books… yeah they have not been a hit recently. They are definitely different. I’ve never not known what to think at the end of a book. Sun reading! Oof- burning. THAT SOUNDS AWESOME! I prefer cloudy cause I like cooler temperature! Ooo yup you love candles. I don’t often set the mood. I can listen to music. I WANT TO READ IN A CAFE NOW!! It sounds great! I usually just find somewhere cozy. I CAN jump. Oooo good luck with dark ages! HERE IS ME HOLDING YOU TO IT! Just start it!! Ooo pretty background! GAMES!! Oooo the Breakeven parent have that one, interesting. Awww I love how you just know that Markus likes puzzles and want to look there. It’s so thoughtful! DONUTSSSS! Ooo yes king we love a good bargain! Those look good! Great store! Loved the video! Have a wonderful day!

Do you stick to your TBR? I'm always grabbing the latest book recommendation at the expense of my tbr.

If I'm stressed, sad, etc. I'll read a complete fantasy or good sci-fi to take myself out of this world.

Laugh books: nearly anything by John Scalzi

Cloudy day reader. If it is sunny, I'm out on my bicycle. I love rainy days for reading as I sit outside in a shelter and read there.
