Questions:
1. Do you consider yourself a mood reader?
2. Do you set TBR lists and do you stick to them?
3. Do books affect you emotionally? Does the mood of a book rub off on you?
4. When you’re feeling sad, what do you read? (Or do you not read when sad?)
5. Most often, do you use reading to escape, to learn, or to critically reflect?
6. What is a book that made you laugh out loud?
7. What is a book that has made you cry? Or, if you don’t cry, one that really moved you?
8. What is a book that you didn’t even know how you felt about?
9. Are you more likely to read on a sunny day or a cloudy day?
10. Do you usually “set the mood” when you read? Music, lights, smells, etc?
11. Can you leap from book to book or do you need buffer time between them?

Reading to make yourself sad about the state of I do that sometimes, .
No sad animal stories for me though.

Booo headaches from overdone scents, that's me too! I can only stand in a Bath and Body Works for two minutes or so before I have to retreat 😂

I’ve really been enjoying everyone’s answers to this tag. I love candles and scents but a lot of scents can give my significant other terrible headaches so I have a collection of candles sitting in a cupboard and have no clue what to do with them 😔

Good day, Jen. I think mood reading is a mindset. I wake up one day and think of moment in history, an emotion, a character, or someone I once knew, and a book in my library appears. It could've been a book I've had for years and not read, but now I'm ready for it and engaged. The Nose for me is in the vein of Bartleby the Scribner, the Metamorphosis, and Hawthorne's Wakefield. Wonderfully strange and baffling stories. Why does your sister think your sweater is ridiculous? Maybe she should read The Nose:)

Clinton Kelly! Aww. That was an interesting show. Sometimes ripped my heart out, sometimes put it back.

Not ridiculous, just different in a weird Not-Jen way. Glad I saw this - you reminded me I was tagged. Always appreciate your answers.

Here's a fun and highly specific thing I do when people watching: for every man that passes by, I imagine how he would look in drag and then I rate on a scale according to how busted or polished I think he would be. This is an especially good game for places with a lot of foot traffic, like NYC or a big university library.
If I had a top like the one you are wearing, I would have to roll up the sleeves, because they would get in the way of eating, washing hands, and other daily tasks. Love the color, though.

I have a really hard time with scents as well, not sure if it's an allergy but I have to be really picky about the scented things I use at home otherwise they give me headaches, which is why I tend to use plug-ins instead of candles or incense because you can turn them down to a really low setting. Can't do any essential oils really, even when heavily diffused.

I like your top but I'll pretty much adore anything in that color. 😀 Every time you mention reading books at the gym in a video, I get excited to go back to the gym - I used to listen to audiobooks but it's annoying to adjust the volume depending on what's going on around me and I'm so eager to try bringing a physical book!

I was once reading a book on a plane and a horse died unexpectedly. I sobbed like someone in my family had died. So embarrassing! 😂

I've laughed loudly at some books I read in public and the LOOKS I would get. Smoke Gets In Your Eyes....I feel like I want to read it but I have a feeling I will bawl.

Edit: That sweater is NOT ridiculous. It looks comfy.

Oh, I live for books that make me laugh out loud! Just say no to "animals in peril" in literature...and also in movies. I do the Big Ugly Cry if I come across those by mistake! Thanks for sharing this tag. It was fun to watch.

Unfortunately, I agree with your sister! 😂

I feel like I am completely emotionally dead, when reading things. xD Like when I read I am like "Ah, I think this is affecting me, " but I never really cry or laugh. Maybe I will do a dry chuckle. ^^;;;
