People think they're doing the right thing but they're actually making the whole situation worse

I mean the man was probably just worried and upset but fighting with the people trying to HELP is NEVER a good idea.

That guy screaming is so ignorant....It really anangers me how bystanders and people with no training, school, or any form of they think they know more than the people that have real training....it still to this day blows my mind.

I’m an EMT and things like this happen way more than I’d like to admit.

People think that if the ambulance is not heading toward the hospital the emts are doing something wrong. That’s just not the case. They are trained to treat whatever they are facing or move based on current medical science and the patients condition. They aren’t doing nothing, they are still administering care. I also understand minorities are afraid they aren’t getting proper care due to the history of that happening in this country. I get it but you yelling at emts may be a detriment to your friend if stress could worsen their condition. And if you are worried about mistreatment you don’t want to distract the people you are already worried about. If they did make a mistake they could blame you for yelling and creating a hostile and distracting environment.

That guy had a case of the “I know more than the EMT’s” when he definitely didn’t

I have a seizure disorder. I would forget my bracelet so I had seizure disorder tattooed on my inner arm to alert anyone. I always carry a laminated card with my condition and meds on it. You can see the tattoo if you are an emergency worker but most people don’t give it a second glance.

In 2019 & 2021, there were TWO seizure incidents at my school! Both seizure victims were eventually in good spirits!

The amount of people nowadays (that know nothing at all about a topic) yelling at the experts about how to do their job is sad.

Seizures don't tend to be all that horrible, people need to chill. Not letting the emts do their job? That can make a seizure very very serious. He wanted to help and stuff, but needs to be educated about the process. They go to school for it lol trust them.

Paramedic LT here. We can do just about anything the ER can do in the back of that truck. We know when to ''stay and play'' and when to move. It's not abnormal for us to work on scene so we can ensure we get the IV or tube without a million bumps. We can give meds after that quicker.
