How to Make a Good First Impression | Job Hunting

Показать описание
First impressions are everything. And when you walk into an interview, here's a couple of tips for making a good first impression. Number one, you want to have really strong tall posture. That's how you convey confidence for this job. You need to walk in as if you own this interview. The next thing you need to do is extend your hand and have a firm handshake. A handshake is a very traditional pertinent part of the job interview process. It's how someone assesses how confident you are moving into this job. The other thing you need to do is to be prepared by dressing the part. You need to look as if you already belong to this organization, so you need to look as if you fit. The last thing you really need to do and it sounds so simple and insignificant but it speaks volumes is to polish your shoes. The number one thing that the employer's doing is they're looking to what kind of attention to detail do you have, what kind of preparation have you done to go into this job interview. And for women, I want your bag to be prepared with your resume, you know, with whatever is appropriate for the interview, a notebook, a piece of paper, a pen, but I don't want this messy bag that communicates that you're out of control, that you are not prepared for the interview. These are the little things that you can do to ensure that you're making a great first impression.
