This is what we call “frappe” in Greece! It’s a staple for the summer. We just add coffee milk and sugar, but some times I drink without anything else but coffee. It is great refreshing and very cheap coffee.

Wow, i am now also fully convinced that if you take 2 tablespoons of instant coffee, combine that with 2 more tablespoons of hot water and 2 tablespoons of sugar, a splash of vanilla extract, a pinch of salt, and then froth it together till it becomes one fluffy coffee concotion, add a little bit of ice, some of your favorite milk, before mixing it all together, that i will have learned the best way to make instant coffee.

Frappe was discovered in Thessaloniki Greece in the 1950s and even won an award for ingenuity in some italian food convention. Fredo espresso was also a greek invention. Greeks just love swirling their coffees and adding ice lol
