Never thought my little hometown with less than a 1, 000 people would make the National news. Thank you for for putting a spotlight on these small towns hit hard

But, thankful we were safe.

Samaritans Purse and Operation Air Drops are good places to help the victims if you can help. We really need it. God Bless!

Fox weather channel interviewed a mom who watched her 7 year old son get washed away and drown. Bring those stories and make it real. Over 150 people died.

We need to get the word out that so many in the rural remote areas are stranded and can only get Aid by Helicopter 🚁 These people Matter 😢 We are seniors on one income and live in 🇨🇦 but we are donating what ever we can spare for these People. God Bless All of Them 🙏🏼🇨🇦😥

It's amazing, it's almost like the damage followed the flow.

I think a lot of people do not realize that the French broad river flows from south to north, so all the rivers and creeks that come together in Asheville flowed north through Marshall, which has steep hills on either side of the town. That is why the flooding was so concentrated there and not the rest of Madison county. One total I saw was 42 inches of rain in hendersonville.(south of asheville) all that water went north through asheville and then on to marshall.

I also will laugh at your calamity; I will mock when your fear cometh;

27 When your fear cometh as desolation, and your destruction cometh as a whirlwind; when distress and anguish cometh upon you.

28 Then shall they call upon me, but I will not answer; they shall seek me early, but they shall not find me:

Bottomland by definition floods periodically. It is first choice land for building because it is flat. It is flat because it floods periodically.
