Rick Riordan sent a super long formal letter to the production team that was super passive aggressive. It's kinda funny, but also kinda depressing that they straight up ignored his criticisms and advice to improve it. Imagine writing an amazing book series and seeing it get ruined without being able to do anything about it.

In The Horse and his Boy, the Bree (the horse) literally gets annoyed when the kid calls him "my horse" and basically goes, "Why should I be 'your horse'? I might as well call you 'my boy.'"

Narnia is an impeccable movie, and it's literally because Andrew Adamson (the director for the first 2) was like "we're putting as much of this book on screen as we can." And then worked *really* hard to make sure it felt authentic. It obviously paid off
