Splinters Death in TMNT 2012

I remember watching this series with my son. Watching the turtles mourn their father for most of the final season was powerful. It's something kids need to learn about too. Mourning is okay.

Bruh that “papa” from Mikey is genuinely sad. It’s heartbreaking seeing usually the most goofy turtle like this

And the fact that shredder did all this all because the woman he loved preferred splinter instead of him... goes to show in how horrible and disgusting jealousy can be. I'm glad that in the end, Leo took revenge for splinter by killing off shredder.

I still remember watching Leo's eyes go White in that vision he had fighting shredder when one of his brothers was killed, I remember thinking oooh it's about to go down, seeing the ninja turtles eyes go White is some scary stuff because you know they're not about to hold back

That fact that Leo carried that guilt + was the one splinter picked tolook after his brothers as their leader. It's hits alot harder for Leo's character from point on. The fact that Leo not only managed to step up to the plate but defeat shredder on his own, speaks volumes on how much Leo has grown throughout his journey as leader since he was so conflicted on his choices and how he was leading his brothers. Leo is by far the BEST turtle of the team and I don't mean it to offend Ralph fans.

My mouth dropped when i first saw Splinter being taken down....however, I grew up with the 80s TMNT....my all-time fave is this series. Best episode was "Trans-dinensional Turtles!" I geeked out when they teamed up!

No matter how hard I try, every single time I watch this scene I start to cry. It’s always been a powerful message to me that if your parents love you they will literally die for you.

The close up, the blade clearly through Splinter, the shocked emotion in April and Raph's voice as well as the late warning of Leo. How the scene turns in slow motion while showing the terrified and shocked expressions of each member while Splinter falls to his certain death. How desperate is Leo's voice while calling for his father and the uncertainty and sadness in Mikey's while sobbing for his papa.
All the hope of him getting back, of him being alive turns into ashes the moment you see the guys grief while remembering moments we have and have not seen with their father. Those were his last moments, there was no safe point anymore.
