Nathan really just wakes up and thinks “I’m gonna make a video on a topic nobody knew they wanted to hear analyzed until now”

Nathan Zed has just passionately gave a summary for the twilight love triangle and I am all here for it, it’s actually beautiful

It's crazy to see how far both Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson have come since Twilight. Both have proven to be solid actors and almost completely phased out of the Twilight hate at this point.

"No chemistry, just vibes". Wow I've never thought about Bella and Edwards relationship as them just vibing and understanding each other's vibe but that just makes a lot of sense.

I swear to god you be one of the best creators out there

Bella being automatically cool because she's a new girl is something I didn't expect from a movie. Even though she had little personality, people were drawn to her because she was new. It was so true. If there was ever a new kid at school, they'd make friends real easy. People really want to talk to the new kid.

Girl. Can we all talk about Warm Bodies more? The movie: superior. The book: SUPERIOR. The comedy, the horror, the romance are all perfectly balanced. Nic Hoult is God tier.

I'm so glad you addressed the ridiculous vehemence the male lead shows towards the witchy girl in Beastly. Had me looking around wondering where his level of grudge came from. Did she murder his family like wtf

apparently the director of the first twilight movie was really passionate about the project and tried to earnestly make a good movie, and i think that’s more obvious to people now. it’s just sad bc she was able to make it such a unique experience with a very specific aesthetic and it just got panned at the time because “media for teen girls bad and sparkly vampire bad = movie bad” :\ i’m not entirely sure but i don’t think she’s done much work since

This man has convinced me to watch Twilight and I never thought I’d say that

Ms. Catherine Hardwicke did her thing with the first film. The ONLY Twilight movie directed by a WOMAN. Thank you.

"no chemistry just vibes" is the most exact description i've ever heard of twilight

I remember being on a church bus trip to an amusement park and they put on Beastly and all the boys were so upset. Then by the end they were on to the edge of their seats because they NEEDED to know what happened and they all cheered when they kissed at the end lol

It's interesting because the success of the Twilight saga sort of inspired Hollywood to do The Hunger Games, which in itself spawned another new sub-genre "YA heroine in a post-apocalyptic world" - A few that come to mind are Divergent, The Host and The Fifth Wave.

The Twilight sound track and cinematography is so good and fits the movie super well. Stylistically, you know a Twilight scene when you see one. But those other movie in the same genre just don't have the right feel! They just feel like cash grabbers

Twilight is a classic example of watching something ironically but then you end up loving it

"She chose the tall pale caucasian man!" Lmaoo honestly why Bella.
"That came from a place of hurt." was so funny.

I enjoyed Warm Bodies too, it really captured the vibe of the book too. Yeah it sucks that it seems like the YA book to movie adaptations have died off.

I was in middle school at the height of Twilight fandom and I was OBSSESSED. Such a huge fan. Read all the books, watched the movies in theaters. At the time I was like “this is amazing!” Then when I got older I became really embarrassed by it and stopped claiming it. Recently, I’ve become proud again of how big a fan I was! It really was a cultural moment that’s hard to describe if you weren’t involved in it at the time.

how does he keep dropping classics at us like this?!?

My favorite genre of video is watching people realize that twilight isn’t actually that bad and we’ve all just been conditioned to hate anything directed toward teen girls. I was indeed a “I’m not like other girls” girl that pretended to hate twilight but saw the finale in theaters
