The boat had been capsized for some time and he was out of the boat. His feet should have been pointed down stream. I understand that you’re at the mercy of the river, but as an experienced rafter, I can say… never allow yourself to be head first down river. Thank the Lord there was someone to help him.

I'm guessing but looked like 1 swimmer in the eddy with his boat upside down and possibly another empty boat sitting close to shore? sounds like he was talking about another swimmer having to hike a road? then this guy gets pinned! SCARY video but great job getting after it and making the save!

I think that's a must-see video if you want to kayak had the feeling I was too good to do that but I've been there and done that low water creaking is very deceiving

Probably taking rubbish as im no kayaker but would a length of tube with a mouth piece one end come in handy in situations like this if all else fails to buy time .

And i can only hold my breath for like 5-6 seconds if i’m doing physical activity. No way would i survive waiting for them to free me up in 20-25 secs. Will have had water in my lungs for sure. Shiiiit
