Reporter saves boy from drowning during broadcast

An Australian weatherman turned into a rescuer while reporting from a local beach. A 10-year-old boy was swept under the water — and the reporter sprang into action, helping to save the child just before going live on air.

Even if he didn’t solely do it, he could have stood there like most useless people would. Instead he jumped in and did whatever he could. Still a hero. If I was that boys mom, anyone helping my son by getting in the water would be a hero to me.

The chances of him jumping in to save the boy are pretty low when you already see others handling it. The fact that he didn't just stand there thinking, "oh, they'll take care of it, " is what makes him a hero.
