An Australian weatherman turned into a rescuer while reporting from a local beach. A 10-year-old boy was swept under the water — and the reporter sprang into action, helping to save the child just before going live on air.

Even if he didn’t solely do it, he could have stood there like most useless people would. Instead he jumped in and did whatever he could. Still a hero. If I was that boys mom, anyone helping my son by getting in the water would be a hero to me.

Bless his heart and everyone else's who helped save this baby.

I respect his priorities. Dropping the report and going to help is what you should do. Good man and good instinct.

A parent of that child would appreciate all who ran in to help them save their kid. He was flying down that beach.

I was under the impression that he solely saved the boy.😁😁😁 Could have changed the caption to "REPORTER helped save a boy from drowning during broadcast!" Nonetheless, kudos to him and to the others who saved the boy😍❣️❤LOVE LOVE LOVE❤❣️❣️❣️

The moment he started to speak I said “Of course he’s Australian.” Those people have balls of steel and hearts of diamond. Bless him and all of the people who helped 😊💖 I hope the little guy is ok!

Please keep negativity out of the comment section below. Thanks :)

The chances of him jumping in to save the boy are pretty low when you already see others handling it. The fact that he didn't just stand there thinking, "oh, they'll take care of it, " is what makes him a hero.

He gave his best effort, didn't fail to act, he may not have been the one to bring this boy back, but he's still a hero. He didn't even flinch, he simply rushed to save. Was good to see so many do that. Thank you.

Why is the boy on the beach at night and in the water? Good job to ALL of those people who jumped in. This could've ended badly with the strong current. 🙏🏽

Finally a reporter isn't just reporting but stepping in when someone needs help. Congrates to this reporter. need more like him and less like the rest.

Heroes aren't necessarily the only one to help, they're a hero for being there to help.
