I can’t get over that’s it’s being 80 years now that this happened. All photos should be permanently stuck on these walls where all this happened never never to be forgotten of how many young men lost their lives for a foreign country! It brings tears to my eyes of this ultimate sacrifice these men were prepared to do. I am in awe of such gratitude. May God give these men rest in heaven!

Lots of bloodshed for freedom. The music score that comes with these “Before and After” videos is music that was surely sent from Above to the heart of the composer. It is very emotional. 🕊️

Many of the soldiers at Omaha beach left my home town Weymouth in southwest England 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 many died so far from home, some in their teens.
I was born 25years after the war, but l pass the memorial most days when l walk along the seafront.
The greatest generation 🇺🇸 ❤️

These videos really touch me. It makes me sad that nearly everyone in these photos have passed. We owe so much to the men that fought to keep the world free. God bless our vets and The Greatest Generation.

Incredible pictures . AMAZING how much of the area is unchanged. I love the idea of continued monuments from those war times

These “shorts” are absolutely amazing! The only thing missing is those from the Greatest Generation. I hope they know how thankful we are for their service. I personally want to thank those who served & defeated the evil in our world at that time. You showed how much you cared for our freedom & that of others. You are an example for all. For those & the families who gave the ultimate sacrifice, your life, may you rest in peace knowing how much we appreciate your service. To the few still living, I hope you are proud of your service. Thank-you for sharing. When God calls you home, may you be united with your family, friends, & fellow servicemen & women. I want to think you will meet those you saved & their family. You will truly see that your service made a difference! God bless you all & may God bless America!🩷🙏🏼🇺🇸🌎🌍🌏

Truly emotional for a Vietnamese refugee who used to live in France.

Thanks for helping me choose my next travel destination: Normandy.

I plan to join your channel in the next few days. I want this history of what the Allies did in WW2 to be forever remembered in especially young people's eyes. I ask others to join with me by Friday, or at least give a super thanks amount for the work and love that goes into these videos. So emotional and historical. Thanks 👍

When you look at the pictures before you cannot imagine that happened when you see the pictures now. Hats off to the channel for showing these and for the great music to go with it.

Now these places are now peaceful and tranquil thanks to many lives that were lost. I am a Filipino, 65 years old and I was not born then, no clue on what happened back then, but through these pictures, now I understand. Tears always flow from my eyes everytime I watch these videos. THANK YOU VERY MUCH for those people who made these videos possible. It opened my eyes and the eyes of many people. NOW I UNDERSTAND, THANK YOU.

Arnhem.... That's where my Dad was during the Market Garden campaign. Like I've stated in a previous comment, he never talked about any part of the war that he witnessed to me or anyone (maybe my Mum out of my earshot). The only thing he talked to me about was the weather, when he was in the Ardenne Forest because I used to hate the cold (still It would be lovely to see if you had any other past and present photos of Arnhem please as I would be eternally grateful please... With the most kindest regards...
