I find that HYDROPHOBIA IS MISLEADING.
They don't irrationally fear water. Trying to drink water causes painful laryngeal spasms, hence their reaction.

The most painful death if someone suffers from rabbies, if a dog bites immediately run for rabbies vaccine

I’ve never seen a rabies victim try so hard to actually drink water. That poor child. Crazy endurance that even most grown men don’t have. I’m glad he’s at peace now.

It's so sad as soon as you start presenting symptoms, you're pretty much done for. This illness is extremely dangerous. I'm glad you're bringing up awareness for it.

This happened because of "Kuch nahi hota" attitude of Indian rural and urban underprivileged parents towards their kids who just ignore them when a rabid animal bites, even though the rabies vaccine is free in India at govt hospital . I am a med student i know many such parents, we counsel such parents for good amount of time still they dont understand the seriousness of our words.

I'm a pharmacist sir in Government hospital few days ago training was held on civil surgeon office lots of pharmacist and Nurses are participate there we learn many things from our senior sir, when Dog bite Don't be frightened, go to the near hospital take a vaccine, if hospital is so far from your home you wash your bite area gently with detergent powder upto 15 minutes with force water until you reach the hospital Take care be safe

this kid is very strong to intake water even after having the phobia where as adults leave hopes and choose to die rather than drinking but atleast try (edit: I was saying he was brave not that he died due to dehydration they do this for the demo of hydrophobia but many people are not enough brave to do this he was brave that's what is said.)

My heart goes out to this little boy. You can see he wanted the water really bad, but the rabies caused hydrophobia.Poor boy.

This just hurts my heart. I get down because a limb amputation, then I see this, and realize how selfish I am. What this poor kid went through in a day is more pain and fear than anyone should experience in a life time. Peace be with you little buddy.

Someone near my house also died because of Rabies.
The poor kid was so scared to tell his father that he got scratched by a dog that he didnt tell his parents and it was too late to get treated.

I once got scratched by a dog i got vaccinated and i came out good.
So please don't hide these things until it's too late.

That pisses me right off. Reading these comments from medical staff saying even after explaining to parents they still don’t care to give their kid a free vaccine. And that people pick up stray infected dogs. Ffs. Poor child.

This is so sad I know he’s already gone but this is just a message to everyone hold onto your love ones as tight as you can because we’re all expendable at some point you may look at him and think wow I’m lucky you are but just remember we all go out of here at some point. I just pray no more children have to suffer like this in areas were rabies is more common
