I don't know if anyone else has experienced this but every time I use XFCE it takes me back to the good old Windows XP days

I installed it last night and it runs perfect out of the box. Just run update and you are good to go.

Subscribed because well deserved! <3
As Windows user (work/stream) i've tested some distros, most of them, ubuntu based and arch based (will try the XFCE Manjaro soon) but unfortunatly for my necessities, sometimes i'm facing kind of problems i can't fix, for example audio management on OBS mainly (USB Elgato Wave 3 mic wasn't recognized for some reason) and some other stuffs. Games support have been improved a LOT thanks to Vulkan and i'm really happy. I really wanna change to linux OS, but sometimes the time you have to invest to fix stupid problems who you don't have on Windows, make the trasition harder. Keep it up, wonderfull channel!

I put this on a 7 year old laptop for my partner and she absolutely loves it. It runs really well without any need for maintenance and already my partner prefers it to Windows or MacOS.(we tried Windows 11 and she hated it !). It saved me a few hundred pounds by not having to buy a new Windows laptop or maybe much more by not having to buy a MacBook. With the money saved we are able to buy a good camera so that she mow has a complete digital photography set-up.

I am very fond of Manjaro XFCE. I am a veteran user of that flavour of GNU/Linux.
I am not a hacker I am just a confident user.
Nobody I know not a soul ever asks me for advice they will not even touch my desktop PC everybody that I know is scared of it.
I don’t give a shit I don’t care about anybody else I know how to use it I am comfortable with it I am well prepared to do the research before buying new hardware I don’t get any surprises.
Manjaro XFCE
Never surprises me it does what I ask it to I see no bells and whistles it looks so plain and ordinary much like windows 95 used to look back in the day but of course it is not windows 95 it is GNU/Linux and all of my friends and relatives know what it is if they even care and nobody even touches the keyboard and I just quietly laugh.

Somehow fonts didn't render good in Manjaro on my PC. Whereas, Solus, Debian and MXLinux rendered fonts very well OTB. Could you review font rendering issues please?

Very solid distro. 900MB seems like a lot for XFCE though. Does Manjaro have many processes running on startup?

I have very bad experience with Manjaro XFCE, basic things that is not fulfilled. my bluetooth mouse logitech M337 which has no bluetooth dongle won't able to connect. This mouse working fine with MATE & KDE manjaro version but not with XFCE. I am searching through community discussion, but it takes so much time and effort to find out. finally I change to other distro. good bye Manjaro.

Nice video, would you recommend this to a full stack developer? I'm looking for a distro and DE that can handle my 8GB ram AMD machine
