Life was so much easier with only having that selection.  Go and buy a pair of sneakers today, WHAT A RIPOFF!   I remember these sneakers going for like 5 bucks.  These converse sneakers were the ONLY PAIR I ever knew about or used.  I think they were great, you could launder them quite easily, use them on the beach for swimming.  Like coral shoes.I hate everything about designer sneakers, overpriced and ridiculously over designed.  Thanks 1980's,   Not to mention, people getting killed over them.
