The Karate Kid Part II - Daniel vs. Chozen: When Chozen (Yuji Okumoto) attacks Kumiko (Tamlyn Tomita) at the Obon Festival, Daniel (Ralph Macchio) agrees to fight him to the death.



FILM DESCRIPTION:
After learning that his father is dying, karate master Mr. Miyagi (Noriyuki "Pat" Morita) returns home to Okinawa, bringing his protege, Daniel (Ralph Macchio), with him. In Japan, Miyagi is surprised to discover that his old sweetheart, Yukie (Nobu McCarthy), has remained single. Meanwhile, Daniel is attracted to Yukie's niece, Kumiko (Tamlyn Tomita). But romance must be put on hold while Daniel and Miyagi deal with local bullies and long-harbored grudges.

Chozen was a scary dude back then. I can hardly believe that he a good guy now. And my favorite character as well

Still my favorite fight in the whole franchise. Chozens hatred towards Daniel was palpable. With the new tidbit given to us in CK it makes even more sense. Daniel at his very best when it counts and truly means something. Very realistic choreography. Yes, I know the drum technique is a hard sell, but by god the way it went along with the music gives those feels. After Chozen vs Terry I really wanted to give it my top spot but I can’t. I saw this in the theater as a kid and it likely won’t be topped.

Also hope there a scene in season 5 where Daniel tells Miguel or Robby just before a fight scenez this is not tournament this is for real..

I've been coming back to these clips after seeing Chozen in cobra kai I never would've thought 30 plus years later he and daniel would be friends but it was really cool and chozen was awesome he reminded me of Mr. Miyagi he was a good sensei and he was funny just more aggressive

Still got to see how Chozen is more honorable than Silver. He doesn't use his knife in the fight. To him the fight was more important.

When Season 6 of Cobra Kai comes out I am hoping to see more Chozen because we need someone who can bring back the logic Mr. Miyagi has brought upon us, and Chozen fits the bill.
