My 2021 Subaru Legacy with a 260 HP 2.4 turbo gets about the same MPG as your parents are getting. For an SUV to match a lower riding AWD sedan in fuel economy and be almost as fast is really good.

Had mine for a year and the Alternator went bad which killed my battery completely. Drive belt needed replaced. Oil pain gasket leak and CV boots went out as well. 19MPG. 😅😅 23, 500 Miles on it so far.

Late to the party, but wanted to add my experiences. I own a 2019 Latitude Plus 3.2 Cherokee. One issue is the lag in transitioning from brake to gas. If I am slowing down (think rolling stop pulling out of a parking lot onto a busy road) and then hit the gas, the car takes several seconds to figure out that I need to accelerate which is a very dangerous situation to be in. Next, when I make hard turns, full steering wheel lock, it sounds like the front axles/CV joints are making a grinding type sound. I am not sure why it only does this at full turn lock. Almost full makes the same noise, but much less volume. One more, the entertainment screen has some issues. At times it does not boot properly when the car is turned on. The controls can lag and then suddenly decide get overly sensitive to touch.

MY Cherokee has about 32000 miles currently and it is not giving me much confidence that it will be along term vehicle for me.

My 2019 is about to go in for a cracked rear differential, luckily still covered under limited warranty

I have the 2019 v6 3.2 with 61k miles. It was cpo when i bought it with 2800 miles. 7/100k warranty and I also purchased a wraparound warranty. I change the oil religiously at 5k intervals. Other than that, the only issue has been with the body control module and some sensors. They were all covered under warranty. It would have cost me 2k. The screen does malfunction like was mentioned in the video. My screen boots with red lines about once a year or so. It lasts 2-3 hours. A relative has a 2014 latitude with the 3.2 v6 and has 115k miles. Only about 1k in repairs in 10 years.

These are petty complaints though and normal complaints like I had a whole brand new 2020 Nissan Sentra s and had a lot of recalls and things that needed to be fixed . I mean it’s apart of having a vehicle they all have some type of problem and then it’s also how u take care of ur vehicle is how it’s gonna treat u in the long run . And p.s during the cold ur supposed to slowly drive your car for 5 mins til it’s warmed up ( turtle speed) & during the hot weather of course it’s no need .

Oh yeah read these comments and watch the video carefully somebody said they car been in the shop 4 months and they only had it two months and the airbag may have to replace and you'll have to get all 4 set removed but that's under the recall so you really gotta make sure they did all that if you get it

After a month I bought this and plenty of times I took it in for a check engine. They said it never had a problem. Since 2018 after a month of buying it. The check engine still turns on.

Never buying Jeep again because of this car. I bought the 3.2 Limited brand new and did all the maintenance on schedule with Jeep. Now it has around 86, 000 miles on it.

1- Rear differential had to be replaced at 60, 000 miles,
2- rear axles broke down too (probably because of the differential) and had to be replaced,
3- now transmission or torque converter make weird sounds. The car sometimes makes strong acceleration jumps while shifting gears. I had it inspected by a mechanic and says to replace the whole torque converter.
4- Also just found out that one joint on the drive shaft is leaking hydraulic fluid and getting lose.
5- The car pops an alarm for 4x4, "SVC 4WD" which means 4WD isn't working and needs a mechanic to inspect.

Servicing all these issues is extremely expensive and is about half the price of a brand new car. I only got to fixing (1) and (2) which cost around $7, 786.

This car was a mistake. I wouldn't buy this car or anything that Jeep touches again. And that includes Crysler, RAM and Dodge as well.

I unfortunately!! Own a 2019 cherokee. Currently at 72k bought it at 28k. Nothing but problems!! I never knew i could hate a vehicle sooo much. First problem was the rear differential and 2 rear axles needed replacement. Than the oil filter housing cracked. No surprise there its made from plastic. A part the is constantly hot and cold shouldn't be plastic. The transmission is shifting hard when it does decide to shift. Ive been almost T-boned atleast 3x's. Stop at a stop sign and go to pull out into traffic and it never down shifted!! So im stuck taking off in 2nd gear. So you can imagine how slow and dangerous that is. I cant drive on the highway because it has the infamous "death wobble". Theres so much more i left out because it would take all day to list everything. The worst thing is i dont have the funds to get rid of it. Even if i could id lose so much money its not even funny. Atleast 10k would be negative. So mad just talking about it. This was my first and ONLY experience with a jeep, NEVER AGAIN!!

tell you something else about that car, if you lower one back window with the others remaining up and you;re are going about 45mph it will set up a concision pressure wave that feels like your head is going to explode, this is very dangerous, so if you try it be prepared to slam on the brakes or get that window up immediately

Was looking to get one of these used for my son. Can you give me a quick update if your parents still have this Jeep. Thanks

Argh you're killing me, engine noise not good? You know how much people pay to get MORE engine noise/exhaust noise in 4 pots mercedes and co.? If you consider engine noise a con, why not get an electric? Argh.
