*IS WWIII Avoidable?*

If humanity as a whole keeps going on its current trajectory, *_No._*

I said this in the live chat during the premiere, but I think one of the biggest mistakes that was made during WW2 was allowing the Soviet Union to join the allies. Stalin had previously aligned with Hitler because he knew Germany had Poland in its sights and Stalin wanted a piece. It was only after Hitler turned against Stalin that he came running to join the allies. Russia was of no real strategic importance to the allies.

The Germans would have not gotten very far even if the Russians were fighting them without help from the allies. In fact, it was the Russian winter that stopped the German advance- leading to the surrender at Stalingrad in February 1943.

Had we simply allowed the Germans and the Russians to fight it out, the Soviets would have not had the resources to take over eastern Europe after the war ended. There would have been no Iron Curtain, no Berlin Wall, no Cuban Missile Crisis, and no need for a military-industrial complex.

The Germans in WW1 did not think that they "can knock out Russia, then defeat France". It was the other way around. Russian mobilization was supposed to take several weeks, therefore the goal was to knock out France as fast as possible going trough Belgium, then take on the main enemy Russia. In WW2 the western front became the sideshow that was initially anticipated by the Germans at the start of WW1.

If anyone still doubts Hitler wanted AND started WWII then they should read "Hitler - A Study in Tyranny" by Alan Bullock.

War is a choice, of course it can be avoided, the question should be will the leaders of the world decide to avoid it

Checking history using ai is crazy. The clue is in the name: it’s “artificial” but “intelligent” means still plausible but incorrect.

WO III is avoidable as long as people love their children and the leaders have a modicum of sense and reason. That's why the Cold War never interrupted into a hot war. When islamists succeed in developing or conquering a country with nuclear weapons (such as Pakistan or the UK) all bets are off.

Would a country 90 yrs ago have a radio show like the five tv show? Was there a repetitive agenda program. Sorry I probably am missing the point
