I don't think people realise how insulting that must've been to Anakin. The guy is a skilled war hero leading the 501st from the front line, practically won half the Clone Wars for the Republic, and killed one of the greatest lightsaber duellists in centuries just a few days ago. And yet they didn't even consider sending him all because it had been requested by Palpatine.

Saw this in theatres back in '06 with my dad, I still remember him going nuts about seeing Chewbacca in the movie, since he
saw the original trilogy in theaters.
