The fact even Lucas stated that Windu straight-up defeated Palpatine has always been amazing to me.

Fun fact: George Lucas stated that mace beat sidious fair and square

I love how Mace was in control of the fight the entire time, up until Anakin comes in, Sidious really had no answer for Windu Vaapad, Mace was getting stronger as the fight progressed and Sidious was getting weaker

I love how mace states twice that palpatine is under arrest but then ultimately decides he’s too dangerous to be left alive

the fact that Mace Windu, one of the most powerful combatants in the Order brought three Jedis just to arrest Palpatine was spine- chilling. It did not feel like an exaggeration at all, Palpatine was THAT feared, dangerous and threatening
