I’m conflicted. It takes away the pacing and seriousness of rescuing the chancellor. At the same time, it shows just how much Akakin and Obi-Wan have become brothers, almost equals as opposed to a clear mentor/apprentice relationship in the previous film. It’s a nod back to the elevator scene in that film.
