Even though people treat this as a meme. It's still one of the biggest impacts in any Star Wars film, it definitely brought me to tears, especially with the finale of Clone Wars Season 7

I remember being in theaters the day after it came out. We were all laughing at various scenes…but when Palpatine said “Execute Order 66”, the theater went dead silent and it stayed that way for several minutes afterwards. You could’ve heard a pin drop.

Lucas has many flaws as a creator. But this was one scene he got right.

If you really think about it, Obi-wan got incredibly lucky that he wasn't right next to Cody when order 66 occurred, or he'd be obliterated from the surrounding clones, unlike everyone else.

I won't forget when that 212th trooper shot that crab droid to the ground he needs to be promoted to ARC Trooper.

This is why the Emperor is my favorite character in the Star Wars Universe. He had studied the past battles of the Jedi and Sith and found out why the Sith kept losing. So he tried a new way to defeat the Jedi: politics. Enter the Republic Senate as a politician and use the Dark side to divide and conquer the Republic. It is pure Machiavellian. And it worked!

The moment when your childhood went dark. It made you realize what death & genocide was all about.

Sidious: “Execute Order 66.”

Cody: “I *just* gave Kenobi his lightsaber back!”

Still can’t believe the Republic completely destroyed the Jedi, like 98% of them. What a betrayal. Almost 20 years later and this still remains sad af

Somewhere in deep space….

“Ahsoka, it’s all of us. The entire Grand Army of the Republic has been ordered to hunt down and destroy the Jedi Knights”.

Growing up, as a Star Wars fan, I always got Star Wars every week when we rented movies and my dad always find it ridiculous. Watching the prequel and to see a lot of Jedi in Episode II was a true delight as a fan. When this happened, It hit hard and beautiful at the same time I can't explain why.

I only now just realized, Palpatine doesn't give a general announcement, he calls each commander INDIVIDUALLY

Just how many phone calls did he have to make lol

The saddest in this scene is when aayla secura was gun downed. In the comics it was revealed it wasn’t done out of hatred or malice commander bly wanted her death to be as quick as possible

Fun fact: George Lucas did not direct this scene but had a really close friend and collaborator direct it and that friend was Steven Spielberg.

The sad thing is:
The clones literally started as slaves with numbers when the Clone Wars started, became actual human beings with names during the Clone Wars and became slaves again once the Clone Wars ended with Order 66
