A doctor that isn’t trying to sell you pills every time is a good doctor

Holy shit that humming / applying pressure on the sides of my nose actually works. My sinus pressure is horrible today and I tried it for a good few minutes and this temporary relief feels good and I didn’t have to take medication for it. Respect our elders.

WOW THE HUMMING TRICK LITERALLY WORKED!! I couldn't hum properly the first few tries, but then it cleared my one nostril! I'm assuming it's temporary but this will help me sleep comfortably. Awesome tip, thanks!

Nasal irrigation doesn’t work for me. I tried it for a week and ended up with a massive infection all the way to my ear which burst. The water gets trapped and won’t come out.

This is my story. I struggled with sinus problems for 10 years. I tried to cure this initially with Hydrogen Peroxide mixed with Sinus Rinse, but it created problems. Although it constricted and but probably killed bacteria, after some time, I fell ill and was on three antibiotics in one month plus a nose steroid. The antibiotics couldn't fully eliminate all bacteria. I then tried the method of using Xylitol with Sinus Rinse. I used a whole sachet, which caused an allergic reaction. I ended up with high blood pressure and constricted sinuses. At that point, I visited A&E and received Fexofenadine 180mg - antihistamine. In my opinion, the best method is effective antibiotics along with nose steroids drops, if needed then I will add antihistamine. I hope this will help, but when antybiotick not work try this, but vary small amount.

I wondered if xylotol was good for keeping down bacteria in other parts of the body because I use it for keeping down parasitic germs in my mouth.

I’m just not a fan on synthetic sweeteners we don’t know any longterm harm. They’re not natural made in labs.

If a method works why do we keep trying to find new ways to do it?

Has anyone ever tried the xylitol to put it in their nose? If so, how is the result? Can you please share?

Q about the xylitol sweetener.. should this be used independently or in conjunction with your salt solution? And how much of it should be used? Anyone.. Ty - BTW the humming with your fingers feels very nice and works!
