In this video, I’m going to talk about the first sign of low vitamin D.

The first sign many people experience when they’re low on vitamin D is a low backache. This is very important to look out for. If you notice low back pain that won’t go away with any treatment, look at your vitamin D level.

How does low vitamin D cause low back pain? Well, vitamin D is vital for your immune system, blood pressure level, sleep, mood, and inflammation level.

Vitamin D acts as a powerful anti-inflammatory that also helps you get rid of pain.

If you notice achenes in your lower back at night, this could be related to vitamin D.

Try squatting down and then getting back up from a squatting position. Rate your difficulty. Next, take 40,000 IUs of vitamin D and wait an hour. Then, try squatting and getting back up again and rate your difficulty. If vitamin D is your problem, you should see a significant improvement.

If you are very deficient in vitamin D, you should see those results fairly quickly. However, sometimes it can take a day or two to really see the results. Try again after a day and rate your difficulty again.

This pain can spread to your pelvis, hips, upper legs, and upper arms as well. Low vitamin D can also cause bone pain in your ribs—especially if you lightly press on your breast bone.

Vitamin D can affect your muscle tone, as well. If you waddle back and forth, this could be a sign of low vitamin D.

You can find vitamin D in cod liver oil, fatty fish, eggs, and dairy. However, it’s almost impossible to get enough vitamin D from dietary sources. The best source of vitamin D is to get out in the sun. If you can’t get enough sunlight, take a vitamin D3 supplement with vitamin K2.

Hi Dr. Berg. I don’t need to take the mobility test. You are 10000% correct! By accident decades ago, I discovered my Vit D deficit was causing all of my pain and mobility problems. My pain was so bad, I was tested for lupus and bone cancer! My pain extended all the way to my toes. My toenails even hurt. Talk about a waddle! I couldn’t control my gait. My thigh muscles seemed to weaken. I couldn’t walk any distance at all. I couldn’t navigate step let alone any climbing like I used to do. I didn’t want to take pain medication so I started trying to improve my nutrition. Through my own research, trial and error, and a process of time, I discovered my pain was from extremely low Vit D levels. To test my discovery, I’d stop taking Vit D until my pain moderately returned. I’d then take Vit D 50K IU. My pain would be gone in 30 minutes! I’ve been talking Vit D (now D3) for decades now and no more pain. And most importantly, no medical or surgical intervention.

I was having some minor surgery done and went off all supplements for one week prior, including D3. I noticed a change (pain) in my lower back and hips. Since I started back on my supplements and D3 in about two days I’m back to my painless state. I KNOW this works for me. Thanks for the advice doc.😊

Wow, this was chronic for me pain in back and hips, I changed my mattress and it didn't help. I began to take your advice with taking D3/K2 and haven't had it for a year at least. Thank you.

My partner has been sick off and on for the last year, and doctors never found any issues. Struggling to find the energy to do her regular activities, she was losing hope. I saw a few of your videos and had her pull D levels. The results were dramatically low, so I immediately started the D & K protocol.
No lie, the next few days, I started to notice the difference, and she did too. I could never get her to take vitamins because she lacked the belief in them to religiously taking them every day. It would be an understatement to say I am grateful for these videos because I am not sure we would have discovered this without you. Thank you so much for the work you do.

Had to challenge my PCP on this one. He said 10, 000 IU's was too much. After blood test, he had nurse call me to say he was wrong! WHEN does that ever happen? And I have spinal Stenosis! So I will take a little more due to amount of pain I am in. Thank you!!!!

I was a little low in Vitamin D but I brushed it off and started experiencing increased anxiety... Even though I didn’t feel depressed, Dr put me on SSRI & my body just piled on weight even though I was consistent in working out. The extreme weight gain (45 lbs in 2 years) is what pushed me into depression & constant fatigue.... I got off the SSRI, which was slow process and had it’s own side effects. I have been doing the intermittent fasting recommendations with Vitamin as Dr B preaches about & I feel back to myself...Thank You for all the knowledge and confirming in this video that these medications deplete vitamin d
