I will make some comments.
Rotator cuff injuries. Only about 2% of the American population makes a living from farming. I manage a family farm. If you go back to the 1800s, nearly everyone was doing the equivalent of subsistence farming. By age 40, most men were disabled because there were no surgeries.

I had both shoulders done. The girlfriend had one shoulder done. The following works on recovery. I would go every day to a swimming pool, have both of us put water up to our necks and walk for an hour. Speak to a physical therapist. Even when therapy is free, 50% of the patients are no shows. The therapies used in rehab are too painful.

I have all kinds of different colored exercise bands. If a person anchors the band, holds it in front and side steps multiple times to one side, pushes the band away from the body, returns it to the body and steps back to the original position. Then turn around and and do it again multiple times. Iit helps tremendously.

Retired. Age 77. Balance problems. I have a daily walk. Up and down hill. Uneven surfaces. I do not wear the $250 sneakers. I wear heavy construction boots all day long and when doing the walk. This recognizes that I can improve strength and cardio endurance without endangering myself.
