Hanako-SAN’s backstory: Hanako-San, or Toire no Hanako-San, is a Japanese urban legend about the spirit of a young girl named Hanako-San who haunts school toilets. Like many urban legends, the details of the origins of the legend vary depending on the account; different versions of the story include that Hanako-san is the ghost of a World War II-era girl who was killed while playing hide-and-week during an air raid, that she was murdered by a parent or stranger, or that she committed suicide in a school toilet. Legends about Hanako-San have achieved some popularity in Japanese schools, where children may challenge classmates to try to summon Hanako-San. The character has been depicted in a variety of media, including films, manga, anime, and video games.

I’m a Japanese person and I’m a teenager (young one)
When I was younger we was told never to go to the third floor toilets. If we needed it on the third floor we go to the fourth floor.
It was bc of hanako san lmaooo.
I believed it. We all did. People who had toilet duty was all together.

Imagine one person is using the 4th toilet and someone knocks the door and say 'hanako-san' three times and suddenly the person replied 'yes, I'm here'

So I’m like really afraid of bathrooms already. Like mirrors they freak me out, loud flushing toilets just go away, this hanako San thing is definitely not helping
