We had to get one of those several years ago as our Mobile home proved to be an "Faraday Cage" we had to go outside to make cell calls. Now we can receive and make calls anywhere inside the house.

the 40 ft distance add the antenna onto a 22 ft well pipe to get the rest of the distance +/- 40' to shed add 10' height above the roof of shed and you will get the 50' required distance.

I especially appreciate your willingness to include unanticipated challenges you face and overcome when you do a project. It seems that you are willing to think about us viewers and prepare us for similar setbacks we might experience.

Bill I’m glad you explained why you were using your hands to bend that thing on the ground! You wanted to save 50 dollars. I didn’t know you needed to have a special tool to bend it. Now I get it. I have heard great things about this product from people who travel.

Thanks for the carefully detailed explanation and close-up camera shots. You are the opposite of those "how to" people who fly through the steps. Much appreciated.

I love the precise scientific method! Can't wait to see the next video! Thanks for sharing you "how to" videos are always the best!! Take care and God Bless!

The WeBoost RV version uses a omnidirectional antenna, that is why they can be closer what it does is gather the strongest signal from any direction and make you be able to get service while living in a "metal shell= which is RF blocking" by amplifying it "indoors". The omnidirectional antenna insures you don't have to park sideways in your RV spot to aim the is also why you can use it while the RV is in operation. You don't always connect to the closest cell tower. On a tower there are usually 3 antennas at 120 degrees apart. If you are at 60 degrees(between 2 antennas) then you might have a stronger signal from the tower that is farther away but aiming directly at you. Bottom line is you need to buy, rent, borrow a cellular signal meter to aim your antenna so you get signal updates in real time when directly attached to your donor (outside) antenna. Due to many environmental factors you may get the best signal in a very weak area when the aiming of the antenna defies logic... With a cell tower that is up 250 feet in the air, the strongest signal might not be directly underneath. Think of the cell signal like a lighthouse that is part of the reason you cannot reach a tower from a commercial plane even with your phone up to the window without anything blocking the "line of sight", unless the plane is coming in for a landing. The cell tower antennas are radiating parallel to the ground so you need to move into the beam to get a signal.

I just had to laugh out loud when you started using the exact, precise, scientific method! Thanks for taking the time to show us the process. Have a great day!

Interesting, my mobile reception at home is awful, might be researching this type of system for my area! Great to know it exists! Ohhh 😲 stay tuned...

we know whose the star of the Tinyhouse prepper...Leon :D k (kinda) I've always wonder how to go off the grid/rving and have internet. An antennae can pick up tv shows but what do you use for internet. I have net10 and wonder if its any good. Our cable/net bill runs about $100 +/- a month.

So if you bring your wire down from the eve and bury the wire under the ground that should add you some additional footage since you are not direct straight stringing the wire from the eve to your trailer.

I have a we boost drive sleek that I use in the car when driving and then I adapt it to use in the travel trailer at the campground using my phone hotspot and the 12V outlet in the trailer or battery pack. I love it.

Couldnt you just mount it to your porch or the back of your shed? Or even mount it in one of your cars that always stays on your property but the distance it requires?

It looks like you figured it out and have a good set up there. I imagine probably the RV difference would be the difference between the receiving it could probably work at a closer range. Hey who needs tools when you can bend metal with your bare hands LOL. As always thank you for another wonderful and entertaining video. Love y'all

I downloaded the Open Signal App and it was wrong for me. I work for the local communications company that provides fiber lines to the cell towers so I know where the towers are. Mine was way off. It showed towers that don't exist and didn't show the one that is actually there. Depending on the directional antenna outside it will still probably work though unless the signal is very weak. I have a car Weboost on my work truck with a cradle and non-directional antenna and it works well. It really helps me get connected in rural Wisconsin. Nice video, i know there are a lot of questions on this subject.
