How to Install Drive Reach OTR | weBoost
Step 1:
0:28--Select Outside Mounting Location on Your Truck
We recommend placing the antenna at least 12 inches away from any other antennas by using a rack or mirror arm (bird perch).
Step 2:
0:47--Assemble the Outside Antenna
The modular mast extensions build the antenna up to 40 inches tall. If you want to add the provided mast extension(s), secure them to the antenna first. We recommend securing components with Loctite added to the threads for additional support. After adding the optional mast extensions, secure the side exit adapter. Finally attach the optional antenna spring. This spring provides additional flexibility and durability. You must thread the antenna cable through the side exit adapter even if you are not using the mast extension or antenna spring.
Step 3:
1:58--Mount Outside Antenna
Using the provided washers, nuts, and bolts, secure the bracket to a rack or mirror arm on your truck. Secure the bottom of the Outside Antenna to the bracket using the provided washer and nut. Route the cable behind the weather stripping around a door.
Step 4:
2:52--Mount Inside Antenna
Secure the Inside Antenna directly on the dash using the provided adhesive strips. Do not install the Inside Antenna on or near airbags.
Step 5:
3:21--Connect Coax Cables
First connect the Outside Antenna cable to the Booster. Check that the Booster and Inside Antenna are at least 12 inches apart. Then connect the Inside Antenna cable to the Booster. Place the Booster under a seat or other ventilated area. Do not put the Booster in a small container, like the glove box, where it can overheat. Both the Outside and Inside Antennas must be plugged into the Booster before connecting to the power supply.
Step 6:
3:46--Plug Adapter into the Power Supply
Next, plug in the provided adapter to the truck’s power supply. Make sure the coax cables are connected to the Booster.
Step 7:
3:53--Connect the Power Supply to the Booster
Plugin the power line to the Booster. The Booster is on and working if the light turns green. Refer to the provided Install Guide with any questions.

i really like this antenna system as its come in handy pretty often when i have poor signal in certain parts of the state. i only wish that the there was a port/terminal at the base of the antenna aperture to connect and disconnect the coax cable for easy pole size adjustment for the sake of heights. however, i do understand at by having a terminated transmission line port like that it can introduce a bunch of loss that you'd have to account for. overall though, its worth the purchase if you've got super spotting connection while you travel. keep in mind though, that not all towers are gonna have the reach you'll need in the more desolate places. what i did especially like though, was that the power supply DC plug adapter had a switch on it to prevent any sort of current pull from my car's battery; that was a huge reason i chose this kit. i will say this too, the cable feed pole piece really needs a bit of de-burring on that opening. its sharp enough to shave the coax cable when feed in or out it.

Why does the video show the spring being used with both mast extensions when the instructions say not to? Which is correct?

The instructions clearly states not to use the spring mount when using both masts

I have 5 antennas mounted on my truck already. CB, VHF, XM Satellite, AM/FM and the company people net Satellite dome. Are any of these safe to mount close too? What distance is recommended from them? I'm running out of room.

For anyone wondering about the mount. Someone did mention on Amazon, I tried that and somehow got shipped an empty package. But I just found one at Iowa 80..

The video give some basic information. But I don’t see any sort of professional installation that’s required for this particular product. The company I work for ordered 16 of these. And you have to do a specific Semi disassembly, drill holes, take panels apart, find power, ect. That rod that they show on the mirror. Wasn’t even an option during sales pitch. this video came out before We purchased them and that side mirror attachment was never even mentioned.
