Hi there, I learned what he is talking about is called a carb crash. It is similar from the low you get off caffeine but even more potent. Carbohydrates take a lot of energy to break down and take awhile for the energy to be gained from them during the process. So I sumise this is what causes the carb crash and why we feel sleepy after a sandwich at work break, eating pasta after work and whatever else. If you eat sandwiches for work or any form of carbohydrates, counteract it with a banana for quick release energy! I would always be eating my sandwiches on my work break and ten minutes after I would just want to go to sleep, I am so glad i found out about this as it helped me so this is why I share it with you. Due to health issues i tried once low salt diet, no meat. this resulted in different to describe, weird pains in the muscles, quite strong fatigue while my Na, K, Cl levels were still in the norm . Maybe stronger reaction was caused by diuretics and other tension drugs i was on.

1 tbsp of "lo-salt" and 1 tbsp of sea salt in >1L water every day or so and you can pull off a multi-week fast provided you have enough fat stores to sustain it

It all depends on somebody's insulin. If the release of insulin is under control and you are genral healthy, absolutely carb it up.
